Terms of Service
These terms explain the rules for using the Legacy website and what to expect when you request a cash offer on your home. Last updated October 7, 2026.
1. Acceptance of these terms
By accessing or using the Legacy website (the “Site”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use the Site. We may revise these terms from time to time; the most current version will always be posted here, and your continued use of the Site constitutes acceptance of any updates.
2. Who we are
Legacy is a home-buying company that purchases houses directly from homeowners for cash. We are not a real estate brokerage and do not represent buyers or sellers as agents in a traditional transaction. Our role is to evaluate your property and, where appropriate, make a direct cash offer to purchase it.
3. Use of the Site
You may use the Site only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of, or restrict the use and enjoyment of, the Site by any third party. You agree not to misuse the Site, attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of it, or introduce any virus, malware, or harmful code.
4. Property information and offers
Listing details, photographs, and any cash offer ranges shown on the Site are provided for general information only. A formal, binding offer is only made after we have inspected the property and reviewed relevant documentation. Any indicative figures provided before that point are estimates and not a commitment to purchase at a stated price.
5. Submitting your property
When you submit information about your property through our forms or chat, you confirm that the details you provide are accurate to the best of your knowledge and that you are authorized to share them. You grant Legacy permission to contact you about your property and to perform reasonable research, including public records and comparable sales, to inform a potential offer.
6. No obligation
Requesting an offer or speaking with our team creates no obligation on your part to sell, and no obligation on our part to make an offer. Either party may decline to proceed at any stage prior to signing a written purchase agreement.
7. Intellectual property
All content on the Site — including text, graphics, logos, and layout — is the property of Legacy or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from the Site without our prior written consent.
8. Third-party links
The Site may contain links to websites operated by third parties. We do not control these sites and are not responsible for their content or practices. Your use of any third-party site is at your own risk.
9. Limitation of liability
The Site is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, Legacy shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Site. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Legacy is registered, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that jurisdiction.
